This next set of vocab not only adds to the nouns that you know, but here we learn Locatives. These are small phrases that tell you where something is located. The nouns learned here, therefore, pertain to places so you can practice!

Lā = Day; Sun
Pō = Night; Darkness
Manawa = Time, instance (“one time…”)
(i) Kēia lā = Today
(i) Kēia mau lā = These days, now, nowadays
(i) Kēia pō = Tonight
(i) Kēia manawa = Now, right now
(i) Ka lā apau = All day
(i) Nā lā apau = Every day
Nehinei = Yesterday
Lā ʻapōpō = Tomorrow
Pule = Week
Hopena pule = Weekend [literal]
Mahina = Month
Makahiki = Year

Pōʻakahi = Monday
Pōʻalua = Tuesday
Pōʻakolu = Wednesday
Pōʻahā = Thursday
Pōʻalima = Friday
Pōʻaono = Saturday

Kakahiaka = Morning (dawn until ~10:00am)
Awakea = Midday (10:00am - 2:00pm)
ʻauinalā = Afternoon (until ~4:00pm)
Ahiahi = Evening
Aumoe = Midnight hours
