Hawaiian Starter Vocab - Verbs 2
Aloha! Here is the next set of vocab. Adding on to our last list, we have more verbs: those that start with Hoʻo- !
This prefix is attached to an adjective (or sometimes a noun) to create a verb that essentially means “To make [adjective].” For example: “Hoʻopiha" is the prefix Hoʻo- and the adjective piha, which means “Full.” Therefore, the verb “Hoʻopiha” means “To make full” - in other words, “To fill.” The words listed below give the primary meaning of these Hoʻo- verbs, along with their attached adjectives and their own meaning.

→ Extinguished

→ Maka = Point, protuberance
